Reports

From the Activity log page, you can create a report in text (markdown) format for what you did on the week you’re currently viewing.

The report includes a section per task you’ve touched in any way that week. It tells you the task title, its notes, and the first and final status it had this week. So if you created then completed a task within a week, the report section would contain at least the following data:

## Publish the blog post

starting status: todo
final status: done

Here's some notes about the task and how to do it

If you have any of Work Type, Client or Product set for that task, that information is also included.

If you use timers, the report will include how much, if any, time you tracked on that task in that week.

The report is designed to be used in other places outside of Herding Cats, for example in your note-taking app of choice, or as part of a post on your blog.

Currently the format of the report isn’t configurable. If you’d really like this data to come out in a different format let us know.
