The Help me! Page

You can start the “Help!” flow from any page, using the “Help!” link in the navigation bar at the top of every page. Use this when you need help finding a task that fits your current level of mental energy and interest.

The “Help me!” page first walks you through some self-care steps, to help you get into a better frame of mind for doing tasks. The advice presented here is configurable in the settings, make sure you adapt it to the things that work best for you.

Once you’ve read the help text, and maybe done some of the things it suggests, you’re ready to work on finding a task to do. Select from all the different kinds of filters to find tasks that match what your brain wants or is able to do in that moment. Perhaps you only want small tasks, or particular kinds of work, or one-off tasks that don’t have an associated product.

When you’ve selected the kinds of task you want to do, hit “Show me some tasks” to get some suggestions of what you could work on.

If you have available tasks that match the filters you’ve applied, the dialog will suggest a maximum of 3 tasks for you to pick from, so you don’t have to make much of a decision. Click the task name to go to its detail page and get started.

If there’s no tasks matching, the dialog will tell you. Relax your filters or maybe pick a different set of filters, then hit “Show me some tasks” again to get the tasks you can do.
